1. Who developed the Internet?

The Internet's first developers were the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) of the USA defense department. They created the first network to ever exist, known as ARPANET.

Later on, In 1973, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) carried on with the research and improved the technology. This new system allowed for internetting (connecting multiple networks), and thus, the Internet was created.

2. Why was the Internet developed?

The Internet was developed as a system for communication. The earliest model of the internet (ARPA) consisted of a non-centralized network in which many nodes were connected with others with the purpose of forming different pathways for communication. This model was the first one to be able to withstand a nuclear attack so communications wouldn't be lost.

The internet has only gotten better at communication and file sharing since then.

3. Who created the email address format?

The email address format was created by Ray Tomlinson, a Cambridge computer engineer.

4. When was the public allowed to use the Wide World Web?

The World Wide Web became available for public use for the first time on 6th August 1992.

5. Who is Tim Berners-Lee? Tell me a little about him. Where is he from? etc...

Tim Berners-Lee is known as the father of the Internet. This man was born in London and he is a physics graduate from  Oxford University (1976) and the director of the World Wide Web Consortium, which developed the World Wide Web.

Along with Vinton Cerf, who is considered the other father of the Internet, he created the HTML code that would allow us to design web pages. The creation of this resource is attributed to Tim Berners-Lee since he was the primary author of the HTML

Among his and his team's most important creations, there are also the HTTP and the URLs, that were developed between 1989 and 1991. Combined with the HTML code, these would set the technical standards for a website and the Internet.

Dinosaurs from A to Z || B for Baryonyx

WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

Art by me

I can't express how much I love the Spinosauridae. I've like their appearance since I was little, so this time, I chose the Baryonyx walkeri

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Baryonyx walkeri ("heavy claw"is a theropod dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous period. It had a long snout and narrow jaws with conical sharp teeth and a very large claw on its first finger, which its name's meaning alludes to.
Its diet consisted mostly of fish, although it's suspected that it might have fed on other large prey as well.
Segovia
Hey there! Yesterday we visited Segovia and here we tell you about it.
Looking from the wall
Segovia is a gorgeous city in the province of Castile and Leon in Spain and there's no denying in that. Its main charm that attracts tourists is its history and architecture. Wanna find out more about Segovia?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Segovia has a wide variety of things to see . While some people may fall for the city's ancient monuments, others may enjoy its delicious pork meat that is popular in restaurants all over the place. In our case, what caught our sight was...

HISTORICAL BUILDINGS

Segovia's history is indeed interesting and very rich. The city's oldest architecture dates to the times of the Roman Empire, where its most famous structure was made. The Aqueduct looks imposing.

Lots of tourists visit the aqueduct every day

The city also won prestige among famous kings like the Catholic kings. During this time, more monuments were built like the Romanian cathedral (which was destroyed), the Gothic cathedral and one of the most important ones: the Alcázar of Segovia ("Segovia Fortress"), which was built to be used as a fortress but was later used as a royal palace. It' currently a museum that can be visited.

The gothic cathedral as seen from far away.

And obviously there's a lot more to see, but it's impossible to everything in just one day. We recommended to find a hotel to stay so you can enjoy everythin about this wonderful place.

Peace!

Dinosaurs from A to Z || A for ARCHAEOPTERYX

WELCOME TO MY BLOG!

Art by Me

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been dealing with art block for quite some weeks, so I thought: What can I do to motivate myself to draw?
Then, I had an idea: A drawing challenge!
Yup, so here I am now. In this challenge, I'll be drawing one dinosaur for each letter of the abecedary. The rules are very simple. I will only be able to draw dinosaurs (no pterosaurs or mosasaurs) and I must use digital media for the creation process.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The first critter I chose is the Archaeopteryx Lithographica.
This little fella is theropod dinosaur that lived during the Jurassic period. The Archaeopteryx, known for its plumage, is considered the most ancient ancestor of all the birds that inhabit the Earth nowadays.

Although the Archaeopteryx was a relatively small size, its wings were big enough to allow it to glide (or even fly).

It also shares some common characteristics with deinonychus, such as jaws with sharp teeth, three toes with claws, a hyperextensible second toe, among other.

It was indeed an interesting creature.
